Having a baby is an exciting time for a couple. At Raveco Medical we strive to make your pregnancy healthy and comfortable. Our process begins with a confirmation of pregnancy at 8 weeks, at this time we will establish a due date and plan for the remainder of your pregnancy. Our babies are born at South Nassau Hospital or Forest Hills Hospital. Below are our obstetrical services:
Family Planning
- Birth control/ Contraception: We will discuss variety of contraception options and help you assess which is best suited to your lifestyle. We offer the birth control pill, Intra-uterine devices (IUD’s) and hormonal contraception.
- Pregnancy loss

- Termination
- Sterilization: Essure is a form of permanent birth control in which a natural barrier is placed in your fallopian tubes effectively blocking future pregnancy. This is an in-house procedure performed in the comfort of the office without general anesthesia. Unlike birth control pills, patches, rings and some inter-uterine devices Essure is hormone free and nominally affects your natural menstrual cycle.
Preconception and Prenatal Genetic Counseling
Preconceptional counseling is available to patients planning a future pregnancy. We will evaluate your medical, obstetrical, family, and genetic history as well as life-style factors in order to identify potential problems during pregnancy. In addition, dietary recommendations and healthy pre-pregnancy behaviors will be discussed.
High Risk Pregnancy
Certain preexisting conditions such as diabetes or hypertension can affect your pregnancy. We can evaluate the risk level of your pregnancy and use our network of medical health professionals to refer you to the appropriate specialist.
Ultrasound
Raveco uses advanced in-house sonography services in collaboration with NYU.
Gynecology
Our clinic covers a wide range of gynecological services including general women's health to advanced gynecological surgeries, many of which we offer in the comfort of our offices.
